Suddenly,
it's Spring!
People at lower elevations are probably 'way past that, but
here in Estes Park, the lilacs are in bloom, and there are
chokecherries trees flowering
up and down Elkhorn Avenue, scenting the
whole town.
Everything is suddenly green, and turning
greener by the hour. Goslings cluster around their
parents on the golf course (see below), there are new elk calves wobbling after
their mothers, and it's all in a hurry.
Spring doesn't last
long, here--sometimes it's a matter of days before it turns
into summer with a vengeance.
